Preslav Ganev was born in 1986 into a family of opera singers. He began studying the violin with Anelia Popova at the National School of Arts "Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov" Rousse. In 2008 he graduated from the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov" - Sofia in the classes of Dora Ivanova and Ginka Gichkova. During the academic year 2010-2011, he studied in the class of Mario Hossen at the New Bulgarian University - Sofia and in the period 2011-2013 was a student in the Reina Sofia School of Music - Madrid, Spain in the class of Marco Rizzi. Preslav has won numerous awards from national and international competitions, including "Hopes, Talents, Masters" - Albena (2001, 2002), "Young Virtuosos" - Sofia (2004), "Elias Canetti" - Rousse (2008). An active participant in the master classes of Yfrah Neaman, Mincho Minchev, Vanya Milanova, Yuri Zhislin, Takashi Shimizu, Miriam Fried, Gerard Poulet, Mauricio Fuks, Zakhar Bron. He performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra, New Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra "Orpheus" among others. As a chamber musician Preslav took part in festivals such as "Solo Música" (Auditorio Nacional, Madrid) and "Encuentro" (Santander), where he shared the stage with musicians such as Wolfram Crist and Ivan Monighetti. In the period 2005-2011 Preslav was assistant concertmaster of the New Symphony Orchestra - Sofia and in academic 2012-2013, was concertmaster of the Chamber orchestra and the Camerata "E.ON" at Reina Sofia School of Music. After completing his studies in Madrid in 2013 he developed his orchestral experience with the National Orchestra of Spain and Gran Teatro del Liceu, Barcelona. Since 2015 is a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria.
