Sirma Velichkova is Germany-based pianist and pedagogue born in Bulgaria. She received her musical education at the National School of Arts in Ruse and did her bachelor studies with Prof. Viktor Chouchkov at the State Music Conservatory in Sofia, then completed her master's degree at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart with the concert pianist Prof. Nicolas Hodges.
S.Velichkova has won numerous international competitions in Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Serbia and Italy and has an active career as a pianist and chamber musician.
She is a member of the unique Baynov Piano Ensemble which specialises in music for multiple piano players.
Her second passion is education. Currently Velichkova is teaching at the Music schools in Lahr and Besigheim and is a lecturer at the University of Music in Trossingen, Germany. She has given master classes in Bulgaria, Germany and Hong Kong. Her students are prize-winners of international competitions and find professional fulfillment in the field of music and education.
